There is no charge to the individual for using the services of a licensed health insurance agent—the commission is entirely paid by the carrier. The carrier is prohibited from selling the policy any cheaper if an individual does not use an agent.

Your Choices

With Medicare you have choices.  It can be very confusing.  Here are some simple guidelines to help you make an intelligent decision that is right for you.

Basically, your choices are these:

  1. Original Medicare Only - this is having Medicare Parts A and B

  2. Original Medicare with a Medicare Supplement or Medigap (Medicare Supplement and Medigap are two phrases/words for the same thing)

  3. Original Medicare with a Part D Prescription Drug Plan

  4. Original Medicare with both Medicare Supplement and Part D Prescription Drug Plan

  5. Enrolling in a Medicare Advantage Plan

That's it.  These are the options.  Each has it's merits and there are reasons particular to each person that would make one option more attractive or a better than another option.

At this point I suggest people contact me and together we find what works best at this time.  Here on the website, you will find information that will help you understand what this means as well.  After we agree on which of the choices appears to be the best, then there are details that we consider such as which supplement is best, which prescription plan is best or what Medicare Advantage plans are available in your area and what would be best for you.

CMS, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, requires that insurance agents providing Medicare Part D Prescription and Medicare Advantage Plans to people on Medicare, first receive from the Medicare beneficiary the Government form below or have an approved teleconference call with you.   After I receive the Scope Of Appointment form from you either by fax, mail or email, or we complete the call, then I can provide you with detailed Medicare Part D prescription and Medicare Advantage Plan information.
